Meet the Artist

My name is Alexis Garcia! I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil and have always been passionate about art. I remember drawing primarily cartoon characters when I was younger, but as I got older I drew just about anything. I used art as a form of escape when life felt hard, but no matter how much time I spent drawing or what I would draw I always felt like something was missing.

In 2023 I surrendered my artwork to God, and that was the missing piece. I had been living for the Lord when God posed this question, "Will you give it to me?" He wanted to know if I loved and trusted Him enough to give Him what I considered at that point to be my life line. Would I give Him my artwork! I gave it to Him, but it wasn't without fear. Fear that He would stop giving me paintings and then I wouldn't be able to express my creativity in that way anymore. For one whole year, almost down to the day, I could only paint and draw what God told me to! Through that year God worked on my heart. He showed me where my true identity was, showed me how much I could trust Him, and He worked pride out of me!

I now serve God through my art, which is how Glory to God Creations was started. I couldn't imagine drawing or painting now for any other reason. I pray that God speaks to you through my artwork! Thank you for taking the time to read! God bless!
